IBM Application Developer (Mid-Sr)

12-Month Contract to Hire
As the IBM Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions for enterprise-level integration projects. You will work with CA 2E/Synon to produce reliable code in an Agile environment. You will join a team of extremely dynamic and passionate developers to work on their newest project. This role offers a path to growth and a long-term opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or any advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years IBM Mainframe experience, using CA 2E/Synon
- Strong understanding of application development lifecycle methodologies
- Good understanding of relational database systems
- Extensive analysis and design skills
- Good communication skills (Oral and Written)
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changes
Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas; following an agile software development lifecycle process.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Research new technologies and maintain active knowledge of current industry application development trends, with a view to how these can be utilized in the environment.
- Document technical solutions and designs at level of detail suitable for enterprise architectural review, user training, and ongoing system maintenance.
